Car Culture

Car culture has its effects on society. "The automobile is not that important to people's lives anymore, "says Mike Berger, a historian who studied the social effects of the car. Today, teenagers are able to get their license at the age of 16 but others will not bother until they are 18 years old. One reason why automobiles had an effect on America was due too young people wanting freedom and excitement. Berger stated that, automobiles are not important anymore. That's wrong, because we need automobiles to transport around the world. Car culture has changed because the world is changing to fast.

Do it Yourself stated, in the early 1900s, automobiles were considered fussy toys for rich and famous. Do it yourself is a website that helps with home improvement and home repair. In the 1950s there was a post-war boom from the generation of teenagers. That's because the cars were affordable to buy and were known as more than just transportation. Buying or having a car was a way of showing who you were as a person. In 1928, cars were lowered from $850 to $300 in 1925. In 1967, cars cost $3,215 and in 2016 cars cost $22,807. Automobiles  helped American industries during this time period. Wang stated, as a result of the automobile, Americans and America itself benefitted greatly from the advantages it brought to them. Wang is a author of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST).

The car culture has brought more positive and negative effects then other inventions.  Leisure life stated, cars have affected all aspects of society such as family life, the economy, and even the environment. Leisure life is a writer/author for the Axle Addict website. For an example, television shows always have some kind of automobile in it. Having an automobile is just as bad as having technology. Cars and technology can cost a lot of money to live in this culture its self. Cars were cool and fun to have while growing up. Cars have updated over time due to adding air condition

  1. Hey Abril,

The first thing I noticed was the difficult to look at and even more difficult to read opening sentence. If it were formatted better, and all written out in a single line, it would be much easier to read.

"Lifestyle stated" link brought me to a 'Tops for installing aftermarket atv parts' which didn't seem relevant.

If you wanted to expand on this topic, I'd recommend talking about the automobile industry itself. Maybe on how the industry made Detroit a major producing city (for a while) or maybe how the car industry and car culture helped start the assembly line with Henry Ford's model T.
It would probably fit best around the second paragraph.

I do like how you had several sources, it does add a lot more credibility to your article.

You have a good blog here and could expand on it in several ways.

    1. Your topic is a really good topic. I think your picture messed up how your sentences looked but it happens, technology problems. It was interesting to know that automobiles are considered fussy toys. That was very interesting to read. Very true that automobiles helped American industries during this time period. Maybe talking about some more inventions expanding it a little. Car culture is changing fast which I agree because new parts for cars are being installed. You did a great job on your post!
